BPC-157 / TB-500 blend pairs two synthetic peptides that appear together frequently in tissue repair and cell migration literature. BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid sequence corresponding to a partial region of a protein found in human gastric juice. TB-500 is the N-acetylated 17 to 23 fragment of thymosin beta-4, the segment responsible for actin binding. Each unit contains 5 mg of each peptide.   1. Angiogenesis and Vascular Signaling

BPC-157 has been examined for its association with VEGFR2 expression and VEGFR2-Akt-eNOS pathway activation in endothelial tube formation assays and a rat hind limb ischemia model [1].

In cultured rat tendon fibroblasts, BPC-157 was associated with dose-dependent migration increases and elevated FAK and paxillin phosphorylation, with no direct effect on proliferation [2].

TB-500 corresponds to the actin-binding domain of thymosin beta-4, the principal G-actin sequestering molecule in eukaryotic cells, making it a common reference compound in actin polymerization and cell motility assays [3].

Thymosin beta-4 has been studied in dermal wound models [4] and in cardiac injury models, where it formed a complex with PINCH and integrin-linked kinase and activated Akt following coronary artery ligation in mice [5].
