MOTS-C is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene. Supplied as a lyophilized powder in sealed vials. Each batch has its own certificate of analysis (COA), which opens when you scan the QR code on the label. For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
MOTS-c is a 16-residue peptide encoded by a short open reading frame inside the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene (MT-RNR1). It was discovered by Changhan Lee and colleagues in Pinchas Cohen's laboratory and reported in Cell Metabolism in 2015, making it one of the best-known mitochondrial-derived peptides.
A peptide encoded within mitochondrial DNA rather than the nuclear genome. MOTS-c is encoded in the 12S rRNA gene.
10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg.
Scan the QR code on the vial. It opens the certificate of analysis for that lot, with HPLC purity and the mass spectrometry identity result.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Literature references are provided for scientific context and do not describe this product's suitability for any use.
